First time, long time. Saw this when I went to play 9 holes this morning. I was walking solo with my electric push cart. I could see them on 7 when I was coming down 4 and I caught up with them by the 9th. This is at a small club (<200 members) and only has 9 holes. I could send an email and complain but I don’t wanna be that guy, plus I know at least one of the group. He is in his mid 30s but plays with okd dudes who play from the senior tees. Guess I dont really have any room to judge, since I normally play solo. ANYHOW, wanted you sickos thoughts on this!

How could that be fun? Waiting for 6 other people to hit before you move to your next shot, everyone is just standing around the green, sure its fun to just hang out and shoot the shit, but I like to swing my gold club once every 15 minutes.

I played in an 8 some once. All walkers. Crappy cold weather so no one really cared. We caught up with a 2 some on 18. I wish I could have seen their faces.
9 hole course that sounds like it’s literally empty aside from OP playing as a single, and two foursomes that turned into 8 at some point. I don’t see any problem here at all.
I tried this with some friends one time, we were literally the only people on the course so not holding anyone up. We lasted 1 hole, it was so chaotic it was just a joke, can’t imagine doing this on purpose longer than that

Looks like some old dudes having a good time. At a small club like this doesn’t seem to be a big deal to me. Would also suggest email is never the right response. Take it up with clubhouse in person or just ask these dudes if you can play through?

Could be, you ran into the last group of a tournament. To cut back on the cheating, some tournaments have two teams play together.
